Suicidality & Self-Harm: Compassionate Support in Utah

If you’re in immediate danger or thinking about ending your life, please reach out right now: call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) any time, or call 911. You deserve support, and you don’t have to face this alone.

If you’re having thoughts of suicide or hurting yourself, please know this: these thoughts are a sign of pain that has become overwhelming — not a sign of weakness, and not the whole story of who you are. At Therapy Utah, we offer a safe, nonjudgmental place to be honest about what you’re carrying, and skilled help to get through it.

You Are Not Alone

Many people experience suicidal thoughts or urges to self-harm at some point. With support, these feelings can ease, and life can feel livable — even good — again. Reaching out is a strong, hopeful step.

How Therapy Helps

We work collaboratively on safety, on understanding what’s driving the pain, and on building skills to cope differently. Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) in particular is well-supported for reducing self-harm and suicidal urges by teaching distress tolerance and emotion-regulation skills. We also treat the underlying depression, trauma, or anxiety that often fuels these thoughts.

Reaching Out

You can talk to us confidentially. Meet our team, or contact us when you’re ready.

If you’re struggling, please reach out — we’re here, and there is hope.
