Life Transitions Therapy in Lehi, Utah
Big changes — even good ones — can leave you feeling unmoored. At Therapy Utah, our licensed therapists help you steady yourself through transitions, figure out what you actually want, and step into the next chapter on your own terms.
Support for the in-between
Whether you chose this change or it landed on you, you don’t have to navigate it alone.
Transitions stir up uncertainty, grief, excitement, and fear all at once — a move, a new baby, an empty nest, a divorce, a career change, a diagnosis, retirement, or simply a sense that the life you built no longer fits. When you reach out, we schedule an intake and full assessment, then match you with the therapist whose style and experience fit you best. Online sessions are available too.
Change rarely arrives by itself. If your transition involves loss, our grief and loss therapy may help; if it’s shaking a relationship, explore couples counseling; and if it’s touching your faith, see our faith transitions support.
Transitions we help with
Some of the changes people bring into therapy:
- Divorce, separation, or the end of a relationship
- Becoming a parent, or the empty nest
- Career changes, job loss, or burnout
- Moving, relocation, or starting over
- Graduating, launching into adulthood, or midlife shifts
- Health diagnoses and changes in ability
- Retirement and questions of purpose
- Identity shifts and “who am I now?”
You don’t have to have it all figured out to begin. We help you slow down, sort through the uncertainty, and build the clarity and resilience to move forward in a way that fits who you’re becoming.

Book your intakeLife transitions FAQ
A few of the questions we hear most often.
Is it normal to struggle even with a good change?
Absolutely. Even welcome changes — a marriage, a promotion, a new baby — involve loss of the familiar. Mixed feelings don’t mean you made the wrong choice; they mean you’re human.
How is this different from regular therapy?
It’s individual therapy with a focus on a specific season of change. We help you process what’s ending, manage the uncertainty, and build a clear sense of what comes next.
What if my transition involves grief or divorce?
Many do. We treat the whole picture and can fold in approaches from our grief and loss or relationship work as needed.
How long will it take?
It varies. Some people want short-term support through a specific change; others use the moment to do deeper work. We’ll build a plan around your goals.
How much does therapy cost?
Therapy Utah is private-pay. The initial intake and assessment is $150, and ongoing sessions are $125–$200 depending on the therapist you match with.
